A discovery was made

There is a shopping cart return in the carpark in our basement.

Seriously.

This is now my grocery shopping routine:

Walk to the mall next door with Gage. Up the elevator to the Giant on level 3. Gage puts in 20 cents for the cart. Put Gage in the cart. Get a week's worth of groceries as fast as I can before 2 year old gives up. Buy a stick of Mentos for screaming 2 year old while waiting in line. Bag and pay for groceries. Back down elevator. Walk next door to our condo. Up elevator to level 13. Push shopping cart right into my kitchen. Unload groceries. Back down elevator to the basement. Push cart into cart return . Get 20 cents back.

Awesome.

oh.my.goodness. That is the best thing ever. I'm so envious of your ability to do this (and the fact that you have Giant next door). :-) So awesome.

haha!! That's awesome!! I'd totally consider keeping the cart in my house. It's a bargain for 20 cents! :)

that is seriously the coolest thing ever! And I thought the free babysitting at the instore kids playland at our grocery store was a good idea.

We used to pay for carts in Kentucky, too - what great memories! I can't believe how much Gage looks like Noah right there - we love you guys!

Happy shopping!

Jessie, that IS awesome! Does it feel weird to have a shopping cart in your kitchen? Are you sure you wouldn't rather make five trips out to the car in the rain or snow to bring in the groceries? ;0)

Gage is looking so big...

Very efficient. I've often thought how redundant it is to unload from the cart to the car then from the car to the kitchen. Does the 20 cent fee dissuade a lot of cart thieves? What a bargain!

Ha! Do you feel like somewhat of a bag lady as you push your cart into your house?? Excellent discovery!
