Rainboots and popsicle sticks

I've been taking a lot of mental pictures lately. These boys of mine make me stop and smile a million times a day. Some things I don't want to forget:

Noah and his spaceship. Noah is always rescuing materials from the recycling bin. He made his spaceship completely on his own while I was making dinner. Cutting and taping it into just the right shape. He used: one chips ahoy box, one egg carton, two paper towel rolls, two popsicle sticks, and tons of tape. The next day a coat of red paint went on and the third day the water bottle rocket boosters were added.

Noah sneaks into Gage's room after I've already tucked him in bed, tells him a story, gives him a hug and kiss and then sneaks back out of the room and ever so quietly shuts the door.

Little Gage was sick and very sleepy. He was headed to his room then stopped and said, "I'm going to my bed. No, I want to sleep on the carpet" and fell asleep on the carpet in the living room.

Noah gave his last piece of pizza to his hungry brother. Gage's eyes turned squinty and he smiled his super big smile "Thank you so much Noah!" "I love you a lot!"

Gage and his boots. Green rainboots. They are inseparable. To the bus stop with his pjs in the morning. To the playground. To the grocery store. Everywhere.

That is some serious creativity that Noah has! Impressive spaceship there! I loved reading about Gage's boots. When Ted was little he insisted wearing his plastic cowboy boots everywhere. He would wear there them in the heat of summer without any socks too! My kids still love hearing about his cowboy boots - there is just something special about a man and his boots. :)

Sorry to hear about your friends moving away. It sounds like you were close.

Love you all.
