Gushing

We had our family portraits taken last week by this amazing friend. Here's a link to her photography site.

After a morning of bribing and bouncing and smiling I was sure we had nothing. But that Amanda is amazing like I told you. She even did our new header.

She sat me down and showed me these pictures of our little family and I cried. Really I did. The timing of leaving Michigan and moving on really brought on the nostalgia. Looking and thinking about memories, moments, how big the boys are, how little they were, how far we've come, how I love this place and those gardens. Just a bunch of sentimental gush.

Beautiful family! I know how you feel. Been doing a bit of gushing myself lately. It's painful and sweet all at the same time.

Love the one of you all sitting in front of the brick wall. And super loved the pic of you and Dave together. Nice work Amanda.

Isn't it funny how tears during stressful times come at the most inoportune moments. I was an absolute basket case the day we packed up our home in Idaho. I couldn't even look people in the eye without losing it ... and don't get me started on the hugs and goodbyes. Hardest thing ever!!
