Festivities

We started our Christmas season by buying a real Christmas tree, from Oregon no less. We shifted all our furniture around to make space in our snug living room. It smells amazing and we had a wonderful time decorating it.

Christmas season was a little different this year. Dave left December 1st to work for the University of Western Australia in Perth. So the kids and I did most of the Christmas activities on our own. Noah helped me keep track of our list of traditions to make sure we didn't miss something - watch The Grinch, sing Christmas songs, read Twas the Night Before Christmas, write letters to Santa, and a handful more.

We had to skip a few Christmas parties because we left early to meet Dave in Australia! But we were so happy with the activities we did before we left. Here are a few glimpses.

I went in to each of their classrooms to make ornaments and read stories.

Noah did a great job in his school Christmas concert playing Jingle Bells and Snow on the recorder.

We made Christmas cookies to be delivered to our neighbors. These are officially my favorite.

we made a gingerbread house

The kids had a blast at the elf trampoline activity at our mall

And we had a wonderful Christmas party with our ward at church. Sybil was dressed as an angel for the Nativity play and I couldn't keep her off the stage all night.
