an afternoon at Pasir Ris

The best decision I made all week was to go to this park.

With no napping happening in the afternoon and Daddy away for a week, a long afternoon outing is just the thing. As well as banana pancakes for dinner.

It was shady. Breezy. And we had it all to ourselves.

Even with the breeze, that afternoon was VERY hot and humid. After the kids drank all their juice, and their water, and all of mine, we headed down to the vending machine. With one Kickapoo Joy Juice, and two Milos we found our way to a bench down by the water.

The three of us had a seat and told funny jokes. The more ridiculous and nonsensical the louder the laugh. "Why did the chicken cross the road?" "There was a banana on his head!" Then they started telling superhero stories complete with exploding sound effects. Which of course they can both do perfectly, while my helicopter still sounds a lot like my rocket launch.

Daddy gets home tonight from a week in the U.S. We can't wait to have him back. He's bringing along 2 boxes worth of Amazon and Costco goods that we've been missing.

And he makes the best exploding building noise.

That looks like a great park! What a cute post and a fun afternoon. I'm so glad David is back and with goods too!

I would be so curious to know what was in those 2 boxes...what are the things that you are finding you can't live without while over in Singapore???

Ah! But is he bringing you a Mr. Potato Head Easter Egg??? I'm holding yours hostage. :) Great post and sweet pictures! And I'd like to know what are the boxes as well. Might need to add something to my list for next trip.

When my friend comes next week I'm having her bring a bunch of amazon stuff and costco stuff for me. Including extra sharp tillamook orange cheddar cheese! We'll have to compare lists, I'm curious! :)
