LANGKAWI bike ride

One morning the kids stayed at the kids club while Dave and I went for a bike ride.

The coast was gorgeous.
The sky incredible.
We saw rubber trees and
tropical flowers.

Watch out for the big red ants.
and the monkeys crossing.
and the crazy drivers.
Remember which side of the road to stay on.

We made it to the Gunung Machinchang Forest Reserve and hiked up to the Temurun waterfall. Local guys were climbing up and jumping in.

So Dave joined them.

Thursdays

"I wish every day was Thursday!" says Noah.

That's the day he stays after school for soccer. And then he talks about it for the rest of the afternoon.

F1 race

Dave and his buddy Ben went to the Formula One race while it was in town. They shut down a few streets in the city for the weekend, reroute every one, and let the race cars on.

Mr. Gage

Puppies and babies.

If Gage sees either one while we're out he has to stop.

He always politely asks permission.

Then he loves it up.

This Mr. Gage of mine.

Mr. Noah

Mr. Noah

My oldest boy

Always another first around the corner

Losing teeth
Tying shoelaces

Math homework

He lost one of his front teeth and one on the bottom while we were in Langkawi. The tooth fairy added a Malaysian Ringgit to his loot. And left some sparkles on his pillow. She might have kissed him on the forehead too.

Some mornings I don't want that school bus to come. I tell him I'm going to hide him so he can stay home with me and Gage. Maybe make a fort or crawl across pillow train tracks like we used to. He laughs and always gives me a great big hug and kiss goodbye.

Of course we're there for him when he gets home. Another great big hug and kiss. We're there.

Waiting and watching for the next new thing.
