When we walked into our apartment after being in the US for 2 months.
The second thing Gage said was, "can we go swimming?" It was 2:00AM.
The first thing he said was, "everything got smaller!" and its true (except for the pool). Small kitchen, small apartment, small roads, small cars, small people, small food. We are back to Asian size.
We brought back 10 suitcases with us. Full of all sorts of stuff. A year's worth of kids' clothes, shoes, swim suits, Christmas presents, granola bars, Tilamook cheddar cheese. And don't forget the corn tortillas. There are no corn tortillas in Singapore. None. And I had been craving fish tacos for months.
Yay!
We were also so happy to get back to our routine, our date nights, and our friends.
My friends who say things like:
"There's a marathon on the Great Wall of China in May. "
"Let's totally do it!!"
"Ok, I already looked at tickets to Beijing....."
We got together to celebrate mine and Sarah's summer birthdays. I heart these women. And I heart Rochelle's cupcakes.

Wow, I didn't realize that you had spent two months in the States! It has been well over two years since I have been back now... The Great Wall marathon sounds amazing!
so jealous you got FISH TACOS! i shouldve thought to bring back corn tortillas too. isn't it funny the things we miss?
Your fish tacos are beautiful! I told Sarah I was going to photoshop myself into the photo here because I SO wish I could have been there.
I love the pictures!
I'm making fish tacos tomorrow night! I usually always have corn tortillas so feel free to ask if you need some. We stock up every time we go home and will be happy to share in an emergency. :) But... there is a taco place at Clark Quay, Senor Taco, that makes them homemade and they told us they could sell us some one time. Their tacos are really good. If you can get past the squirt bottle of guacamole, it's real Mexican food. Yes, in Singapore!
