We met some friends at the Singapore Science Centre a bit ago.
I was feeling thrifty and decided to save some money by taking the bus out there instead of a taxi. GoThere (the most amazing website by the way) told me it was supposed to be about an hour bus ride. No transfers. We can do that, I thought.
We waited much longer than I expected for the bus. And the hour bus ride turned into 2 hours with construction, traffic and frequent stopping. Once we got off there was a blazing walk up the hill and across the street to the Science Centre. Late to meet our friends, stomach still queasy from the back of the bus, drenched in sweat, and carrying the stroller up the stairs I promptly decided to take a taxi home.
But the Science Centre itself was wonderful. Great exhibits. We need to go back and take our time. And Noah just reminded me we have to go back for Snow City. Maybe in December when we're missing the chill.

Sorry about the miserable trek! Knowing you, you had a smile on the whole way. You're always so amazing the way you roll with the punches. Neat museum though.
oh, I feel your pain! Taxis have become more a part of our life than I originally thought they would. When you're traveling half-way across the island the bus just takes too long...especially with two little ones in tow! Glad you guys had a good time, though!!
Aah, Jessie. Live and learn, huh? Sorry it was so painful! You guys are exploring so much, you'll be smart as tour guides before long!
