We did it.
We are here.
Singapore. Safe and sound.
The Big Flight went surprisingly well.
A short flight to San Fransisco, 6 hour lay over, 10 hour flight to Seoul Korea, then a 6 hour flight to Singapore. The kids ate, slept and watched movies. I brought all sorts of toys and books and didn't need them.
Singapore Air is wonderful, they just kept bringing us stuff - coloring books, cookies, snacks, socks for heaven's sake. The hardest part was going through security. 2 kids, 2 strollers, and 8 carryons. Especially after the front wheel of our stroller snapped on the jet way in San Francisco.
We are now in our apartment, everything is unpacked, we have cell phones, internet and beds and we're working on the rest. The kids love the place. Gage keeps finding new nooks to play in and Noah just stares out the window at the big barges on the ocean.
We've got a lot of setting up to do, and after that we're looking forward to exploring Singapore.
So far we've spent a lot of time at Ikea, in taxis, shopping, trying to get the kids on the right sleeping schedule, and finding places to eat. My favorite is the place next door with the smiling chinese kid who pokes and tickles the kids and you can get a full meal for $2.50 rice, 2 vegetables and meat. So yummy and colorful.
Oh, and the pool. Lots of time at the pool.

Jessie, I can't believe that you are actually there. It sounds like you flight was alright and that makes me so so happy. I don't know how you even held 8 carry-ons. Wow. You are totally my hero.
Do you guys want to Skype sometime? I know my boys would love it. Alex was planning a talent show at our house and he was like "and we could invite Noah... Oh wait, he moved" Alex misses you guys. I do too.

Crazy! What an adventure for you guys. I was all excited about moving to Logan. There you are, on the other side of the world. Way to go. I hope you guys love it there!
Nice!! Welcome to Singapore!!! I know you are very busy. The view from your place is awesome!
Let me know if I can help you with anything.
Wow, we've been thinking of you a lot this week ... knowing it would be lots of new and lots of firsts. The view from your window is incredible. I would pull a chair right up to it with Noah and watch those barges all day! And dinner for $2.50! Can't beat that.
You are amazing! Thank you for blogging. I feel like you're just a mouse click away. The internet really makes the world a whole lot smaller.
I am so glad the flight went well. Your place looks great, and it sounds so exciting! We are happy for you and love you guys so much. Keep us posted - we can't wait to find out more about all that you are doing!
Yeah, sounds like you did alright for yourself with the whole long flight. So glad for you. Looks like a great view from above! Take lots of photos.
Impressive. It always seems to help to overplan activities for kids and then they just do fine all on there own. I'm glad you're there safe and back with Dave again.
Wow, you guys are really there. What a wonderful adventure. I mean, seriously. You guys are living in such a beautiful place! Hope things continue to go smoothly. I'm soooo glad the flight went so well. We love you guys and are grateful for this blog where we can keep updated.
Finally!! You are there and everything sounds like it is working out wonderfully!! Love the pictures of Noah (now I just need to see Gage), and would love to see the rest of your apartment! We miss you already, but are so excited and happy for you to be able to experience this wonderful opportunity. Love you. Grandma Woodworth
So glad you made it safe and sound!
Congratulations! I am so glad you made it and that the flight you were so dreading went well. I had to laugh at your mention of IKEA. I honestly feel like we spent two full months there when we arrived here; I still feel the urge to vomit whenever I see the store...
Wow! Barges on the ocean. What a view. This is going to be the coolest experience!
We miss you tons! Halloween is coming, it will be sad without you.
Oh Jessie--welcome to your new home. Glad you're back with David again. When Bill was in Singapore for 2 1/2 weeks earlier this month, I had a glimmer of an idea of what things must have been like for you and what they will be like in the future. I hope you *love* it there. Thank goodness for the internet! I love reading about your adventures and seeing Noah and Gage growing up. Take care!
I love reading your blog and following your adventure across the world. We miss you so much! It's so sad to drive by your old place everyday. :( I'm glad all is well and it sounds like the boys are having a great time. Take Care!
